STEPH MORELAND

Director
Medical Lead

Steph is a HCPC registered paramedic with nine years experience. She has spent the last seven years working in a Hazardous Area Response Team (HART) and regularly responds to specialist, complex or protracted incidents. 

​

Her HART capabilities include working at height, urban search and rescue, confined space, marauding terrorist attack response, support to security operations, HazMat and CBRNe response, water operations and enhanced clinical skills including intubation, finger thoracostomy, surgical airway, LyoPlas/calcium chloride administration and advanced analgesia including ketamine and penthrox®.

Steph is an educator within HART, and has additional teaching qualifications including a Level 3 Award in Education and Training (AET). She is also working towards a Level 4 Certificate in Education and Training (QCF) and a Level 4 Award in the Internal Quality Assurance of Assessment Processes and Practice (IQA).

JAMES COOMBER

Director
Rescue Lead

James worked in the Fire and Rescue Service for over twenty years as an operational firefighter, trainer and manager. He was also a trauma lead and road traffic collision (RTC) instructor with the United Kingdom Rescue Organisation (UKRO)After leaving the Fire and Rescue Service in 2023, James now supports Steph in the delivery of advanced first aid and trauma courses. 

 

James also uses his experience of leading teams during crisis situations to provide effective leadership and culture consulting. He offers coaching, keynote speeches and workshops on leadership excellence, having difficult conversations, psychological safety and male allyship. He has delivered training both nationally and internationally with the goal of creating safe working environments that promote inclusivity and positive culture by way of effective and supportive leadership.
